why do people continue to upload the same movies knowing theyre already on here?...look thru the list theres 5- 10 copies of alot of shows and movies on here...its no wonder the sites gone to hell.... i understand wanting to get your 100 movie quota , but is it really worth overloading the servers to save a few bucks?

Erm... Not really I suppose, though I suppose that for those who have to wait for a request to be accepted can request multiple copies & see which is accepted 1st..... One of the problems though is the fact that due to waiting for approval it is quite possible that even though a movie has already been uploaded but is still floating about in the ether awaiting approval so does not show up in search results.... Another issue (more important in my view) is that many of the instances of multiple movies is that they came from different sources so 1st you'll get a Cam uploaded, then a TS, followed by an R5 & finally a DVDRip (or BDRip). It wold be a good idea in my opinion that once the DVDRip comes out all the inferior quality versions get deleted.... This creates a new problem though, most annoyingly some people will upload without any indication of the source meaning the only way to find out is to actually watch it....

I agree with Alrock about deleting the Cams, TS's and R5's when the DVD rips and BD/BR rips come out

Ditto. Alrock has a good point. Sometimes the user who uploads the video are not available to approve request so a user can be waiting for a long time before he/she can watch the video so the alternative is to send several requests and see which user will come back with an approval. I think the topic regarding deleting some of the versions of video of the same title has been brought up in another forum but I can't remember if that has been addressed by Admin or not. It will be great that once the best version (DVD rip) of the video has been uploaded, the cams and TS version should be deleted.

I agree with "Alrock", about all other videos formats should be deleted from the system. But the admins to the site will not delete them unless the user who owns and uploaded that video ask them to remove them. In tell then, they are here to stay.

The real qustion is, if there is such a law for only one formated DVD/BD-Rip to the site, who gets to upload that movie?? It wouldnt be fair for only people such as Kevin/Haven or who ever else who uplaods movies to this site, with a godly 50MB download/uploads speeds.

I myself is an uploader - Old and New movies, so to me not be able to upload my movies that I got off a torrent, because someone else beats me to it. Is just not fair. So having more copys on the site, insures you get the right movie you wanted without problems. Because 8/10 times when uploading a movie to the site, somthen can go wrong with the upload, either by synic problems or sound or god knows what else.

The only problem I dont like is, is when someone turns around and uploads someone else upload from the site. Its one thing to upload the same movie, but it came from a differnt source such as a Torrent. But to upload someone else work just to make the top100s to get free access, is plainly wrong.

If we ever actually get the ability to delete our own uploads (long overdue) then maybe we will get some degree of self policing on the availability front & the uploaders of the CAMS, TS, etc will remove them themselves once they become superseded.

agreed. the abilty to delete and edit our own uploads would help with the moderation. I have some SCR and Pre airs that could be deleted.

Im confused if your talking about the "synic problem" comment. What im talking about is the voice's are not matching up to the lips. This is what we call out of synic.

How dose this happen, well my best guess is that the video got some what corrupted when uploading. Such as like maybe I lost connection to the VF server for a split sec. when uploading the file. So that second that got lost made the movie bad. It wasnt long enough for servers to reject the corrupted file.

Could be a million differnt reasons.

I agree that the cams should be deleted, but alot time i appreciate that there is multiple uploads of the same movie. I have a mac and when the video has AC3 audio, which i can hear, ( when streaming [ i prefer streaming]) so sometimes people like Keven will upload a version with AC3 audio and another with mp3 audio.

PS I think the sync problem happens most of the time when the movie buffers alot
